Game 1 and 2 wins → Game 3 loss by 27 points… “I lost because of me”, a young ace with no one to blame but himself

Edwards blames himself for the loss.

The Minnesota Timberwolves fell 90-117 to the Denver Nuggets in Game 3 of the second round of the 2023-2024 NBA Playoffs at Target Center in Minneapolis on Monday (Nov. 11).

Minnesota started the series on a high note by sweeping Games 1 and 2 against the defending champions, especially as the Wolves were without defensive stalwart Rudy Gobert in Game 2, and the win was especially significant as it came on the Nuggets’ home floor.

“The series is over,” commentator Charles Barkley said. Minnesota’s talent is real and Denver has no advantage. 먹튀검증 Minnesota will close out the series with a sweep.”

But back at home, Minnesota suffered their first loss of the playoffs in an unexpected sweep. It was an unexpected loss, with both offense and defense struggling.

Even Anthony Edwards, the hottest player in this year’s playoffs (19 points), didn’t have the same impact as in previous games. He had a rather passive first half, scoring just nine points, and ultimately couldn’t prevent his team from losing.

Speaking to the local media after the game, Edwards placed the blame for the loss squarely on his shoulders, the kind of responsibility that comes with being the team’s ace.

“I’m the reason we lost today,” Edwards said. I’ll take the blame for the loss. We played lethargic. I let my teammates down, I let my coaches down, I let the fans down,” he reflected, adding, “I’m going to be ready for the next game to be different.”

Edwards also gave credit to the Denver players for taking a clean loss. He seemed to get more excited about the game when his opponent was on top.

“Denver played well today,” Edwards said. They are the defending champions. We didn’t think it was going to be easy to beat them. This is what we wanted and we’re having fun,” he said.

“Losing is no reason to be negative. They just won one game and we’ll try to win the next one. It’s not a one-game game, it’s a four-game series.”

Denver is a formidable opponent, and Minnesota can’t afford to lose the series if they drop both games at home. Game 4 is crucial.

Will Edwards, who is growing in popularity among NBA fans, deliver a different performance in Game 4? Game 4 between the two teams will take place on Dec. 13 at the same venue.
