Indonesian supporters overwhelmingly chant ‘India~Indonesia!

It’s like an Indonesian family room. Many fans traveled to Qatar to cheer on Indonesia as they take on Vietnam.

At 11:30 p.m. ET on Nov. 19, the Abdul Bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha, Qatar, hosted the second match of Group D of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Qatar Asian Cup 2023 between Vietnam and Indonesia, 안전카지노사이트 led by Shin Tae-yong.

Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium is the smallest of the nine stadiums used for the tournament. It is smaller than Jassim bin Hamad Stadium (15,000 seats), which hosted the first Group E match between South Korea and Bahrain. Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium has a capacity of around 10,000.

Despite the small size of the stadium, there are tons of Indonesian fans cheering for the national team. At first glance, there are more Indonesian flags than Vietnamese flags in the stadium.

The passion of the Indonesian fans was evident even before kickoff, when both teams’ national anthems were played. The Indonesian fans sang along with the players in a loud voice when the national anthem was played. There are also chants that are specific to the Indonesian national team, such as Arirang and Oh Pilseung Korea.

Once the match started, even louder chants filled the stadium. Fans chanted “India~Nesia!” and cheered, and a large flag was flown behind the goal. Unusually, there were Indonesian fans behind the goal at both ends of the stadium. The sound of support for Indonesia comes from all directions.

At this year’s Asian Cup, fans visiting the stadiums will be given flags of both teams. One has a stick on it and is smaller than an A4 sheet of paper, while the other can be worn around the body or unfurled.

However, Indonesian fans have gone the extra mile. They’ve set up a separate Indonesian flag in the stadium that’s as big as a hanger, and they’re waving it in the air in a way that you’d expect to see in a European stadium to show their support for Shin Tae Yong Ho.

They cheered loudly every time the players touched the ball. With the support of many away fans, Indonesia will try to get their first win of the tournament.
