‘Juventus main MF’ ready to sign → “He’s worth signing”

Tottenham are not done with Archie Gray.

“Tottenham have made Weston McKennie ‘worthy of a £15 million move’ and the US international is ready to shine in a bigger team,” reported Goal.com on Monday (ET).

The United States international is a central midfielder but can also play as a defensive midfielder. McKennie is a midfielder whose strengths lie in winning the ball and linking up, and he joined Juventus because of his proven ability to do so.

In the 2021/22 season, he was given a chance to break into the first team, but a serious injury in the Champions League round of 16 ruled him out for the season. McKennie then spent the 2022/23 season on loan at Leeds, where he had a brief stint in the Premier League. His time at Leeds ended in frustration and disappointment as they were relegated.

However, McKennie silenced his critics this season when he returned to Juventus and became a regular starter. He made 34 league 먹튀검증가이드 appearances and provided a whopping seven assists. McKennie is currently playing for the United States national team in the Copa America.

McKennie was once heavily linked with Aston Villa, but former Spurs defender Alan Hutton told Tottenham News: “McKennie has a chance of joining Spurs. It’s worth a shot. I know what kind of season he had at Leeds, but Leeds were a relegated team and a team that didn’t work out under Jesse March, but he went back to Juventus and had a really good season.”

“He could be a player to watch because he went back to Juventus and played a lot of games. I think he would suit a bigger team where he can move around with the ball, make tackles and start attacks.”

Spurs are in the market for new players to bolster their squad as they look to compete in the Europa League in the 2024/25 season. Spurs are currently trying to sign Archie Gray from Leeds and are in the final stages of finalizing a deal. Adding McKennie, another Leeds product, to the mix would further solidify the midfield.
