Kang So-hwi and Kim Yeon-kyung are women’s top earners with 800 million

Kang So-hui (26) of Korea Expressway Corporation and Kim Yeon-kyung (36) of Heungkuk Life Insurance were the highest paid women. On the men’s side, Korean Air’s Han (38) was the highest-paid player for the fourth consecutive season.

KOVO announced today, “The players who will play in the Dodram 2024~2025 V-League have been decided. Han, Kim Yeon-kyung, and Kang So-hwi were named the highest-paid players in both men’s and women’s categories.”

Han signed a contract totaling KRW 1.08 billion with a salary of KRW 750 million and options worth KRW 330 million, making him the highest-paid player in the men’s division for the fourth consecutive season. Korean Air’s Jung Ji-seok followed with a total of 920 million won ($700 million in salary and 220 million in options).

OK Financial Group’s Lee Min-kyu signed for 980 million won ($800 million salary, $180 million option), while Hyundai Capital’s Heo Soo-bong and KEPCO’s Shin Young-seok rounded out the top five with 800 million won ($800 million salary) and 777 million won ($600 million salary, $177 million option), respectively.

On the women’s side, Kim Yeon-kyung and Kang So-hwi tied for first place with 500 million won in salary, 300 million won in options, and 800 million won in total. Kim has been the highest-paid player in the women’s game for three consecutive seasons.

Pepper Savings Bank’s Park Jung-ah was third with 475 million won in salary and 300 million won in options, totaling 775 million won, IBK’s Lee So-young was fourth 먹튀사이트 with 700 million won (450 million won in salary and 250 million won in options), and Hyundai E&C’s Yang Hyo-jin was fifth with 600 million won (400 million won in salary and 200 million won in options).

In the men’s league, a total of 108 players from seven clubs have registered (16 from Korean Air, 17 from OK Financial Group, 15 from Woori Card, 15 from Hyundai Capital, 15 from KEPCO, 16 from Samsung Fire, and 14 from KB Insurance), and the average compensation for the men’s league is KRW 223 million, down KRW 6 million from last season.

In the women’s division, a total of 103 players from seven clubs (14 Hyundai E&C, 15 Heungkuk Life, 16 Jungkwanjang, 14 GS Caltex, 16 IBK, 12 Korea Expressway Corporation, and 16 Pepper Savings Bank) are registered, and the average compensation for the women’s division is 161 million won, up about 6% from last season.

For the 2024-2025 season, the men’s team will receive a total compensation of 5.81 billion won, including a salary cap of 4.15 billion won and an option cap of 1.66 billion won, while the women’s team will receive a total compensation of 2.9 billion won, including a salary cap of 2 billion won, an option cap of 600 million won, and a victory fee of 300 million won.
