Women’s Basketball Shinhan Bank disgraced with one point in fourth quarter
Incheon Shinhan Bank scored just one point in the fourth quarter, becoming the first team in women’s professional basketball history to score fewer points in a quarter.Shinhan Bank lost 51-78 against Bucheon Hana OneQ in the Woori Bank Woori WON 2023-2024 Women’s Professional Basketball League Regular Season at Bucheon Gymnasium in Gyeonggi-do, Gyeonggi-do, on Nov. 6.Shinhan scored just one point in the fourth quarter, setting a record for the fewest points scored in a quarter in the history of the women’s professional basketball program.
The previous record was set on Nov. 28, when Asan Woori Bank scored just two points in the second quarter against Cheongju KB.Leading 63-50 after three quarters, Hana OneQ scored 15 points in a row without giving up a point to Shinhan until about 8:30 minutes into the fourth quarter.Hana OneQ got two free throws from Lee Da-yeon with 1:27 left in the game, but she only made one.This is the first time in two years and 11 months since January 2021 that Hana OneQ has won two straight games.With the win, Hana Wonq improved to 4-6 and closed to within 0.5 games of third-place Yongin Samsung Life (4-5).Hana OneQ was led offensively by Shin Ji-hyun with 21 points and seven assists.
