Women’s Basketball Woori Bank reaches 10 wins for the season…

Asan Woori Bank became the first women’s professional basketball team to reach the 10-win plateau this season.

The defending champions extended their winning streak to four games with a 72-52 victory over Incheon Shinhan Bank in the regular season finale of the Woori WON 2023-2024 Women’s Professional Basketball League at Incheon Dowon Gymnasium on Nov. 11.

Woori ace Kim Dan-bi scored 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Park Ji-hyun scored 21 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the win.

Woori, who improved to 10-1, moved to within half a game of Cheongju KB (9-1), who did not play.

Woori Bank held Shinhan Bank’s leading scorer Kim Sonia to two points in the first half and utilized various scoring routes including Kim Dan-bi, Park Ji-hyun and Lee Myung-kwan to take a 44-33 lead.

Shinhan suffered from a severe offensive slump, not scoring its first points of the quarter until Goo Seul’s basket with 3:36 left in the third quarter.

Woori entered the fourth quarter with a comfortable 61-40 lead, thanks to Park Ji-hyun’s three-pointer just before the end of the third quarter.

To make matters worse, Shinhan lost the momentum to fight back when Goo Seul, who scored a team-high 15 points, fouled out with five fouls just 55 seconds into the fourth quarter.

Shinhan Bank lost its third straight game and failed to move out of last place (1-10). 토토사이트
