Reporter Kim Kyung-ho of Kyunghyang Newspaper has been selected as the winner of the 2023 Lee Gil-yong Sports Journalist Award.The Korea Sports Journalists’ Federation (Chairman Yang Jong-gu) announced on June 6, “After receiving nominations from 33 member companies and holding a judging committee on the 30th of last month, we have confirmed reporter Kim Kyung-ho as the winner of the 34th Lee Gil-yong Sports Journalist Award.”Kim began his career as a sports reporter at Daily Sports in 1989, and has been reporting sports news for Sports Today and Good Day since 2005.

He has served as the sports editor of Kyunghyang Newspaper, editor-in-chief of Sports Trends, president of the Korea Sports Journalists Association, non-executive director of the Korea Sports Promotion Corporation, director of the Seoul Sports Association, member of the Preparatory Committee for the Integration of Sports Organizations, and member of the Committee to Ensure Universal Viewing Rights of the Korea Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission.”We held a jury on the 4th of this month and decided to honor reporter Kim Yang-hee, who has been working to improve awareness of sports for the disabled since 2019 through her steadfast interest in sports for the disabled and her diverse coverage,” the organization 슬롯게이밍 said.The award ceremony will be held on the 18th at the Sports Journalists’ Night at the Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul.
